7:15 AM

Ah! I’ve just arrived in Paso Robles and I can’t wait to see the local sights. I have a jam-packed schedule ahead of me, so I do a quick check in at my hotel and I’m off to hit the town!

9:05 AM

I begin my weekend by taking a tour of the famous Eberle Winery (3810 Hwy 46 E Paso Robles, CA 93446). It’s a gorgeous venue, with rolling hills of grapes and over 100 wines to sample. This is quite an assignment!

God the wine is good. I’m going to take a few bottles as souvenirs with me.

12:24 PM

My next destination, River Oaks Hot Springs Spa (800 Clubhouse Dr, Paso Robles, CA 93446), is a heavenly sight to behold. Decadent saunas among beautiful trees with masseuses on hand to tend to your every need. Too bad I can only stay for an hour! I’ll have some of my leftover wine and take a quick nap…

4:14 PM

Huh? What? What the…what time is it? Ugh I feel so groggy. 4pm? Shit I missed my next two destinations. I can’t believe I slept for 2 hours!

4:17 PM

HOLY SHIT. Is it Sunday?! What the hell happened? Did I just spend the whole weekend drinking wine in this hot spring? God, my head is killing me. This is bad. The editors are going to kill me. Shit. They are not going to let this one slide.

4:20 PM

Ok, I need a plan. Somehow in the I have to find a way to visit all the sights on my list and still make my flight home in two hours. This is going to take a miracle. But you know what? I’m the best damn travel reporter I know.

I’ll just have one last swig of wine, then off to make some travel-reporting history!!

9:17 PM

What do you do with a drunken sailor? What do you do with a drunken sailor? What do you do with a drunken sailor rolling around the hot tub?

11:37 PM

Water is so hot…I think my blood pressure is dangerously low. Heart beating….so slowly….this might be the end.

But God, what a great way to go. If I make it out of here alive I am definitely moving to this place.
