Apartment Complex Life Ebs And Flows To Sounds Of Tenant’s Accordion Practice

November 29, 2015 - Local

According to tenants, life at the Roosevelt Apartment Complex in Pasadena is set to a backdrop of the accordion music coming from unit 6E.

“Ah, there’s Chardas by Monti,” said resident Robert Jones while making a souffle in his kitchen.

“He’s really hitting the overtones tonight,” he added.

Laura Barton, who lives on the fourth floor, said the music helped her through a difficult breakup.

“I was trying to find the words to tell him it wasn’t going to work out,” she told The Pasadenoid.

Then suddenly that guy upstairs starts up with Haydn’s Sonate D-Dur, and I immediately know how to express myself,” she said.

The Pasadenoid visited apartment 6E and found the resident was unaware of his impact on the complex.

“To be honest I never really considered that other people could hear me practicing,” he said.
