5 Things I Wish I Knew In My 20s

5. Teeth don’t last forever

Boy, if only I had known what happens to people who drink 46 ounces of Gatorade every day. I would have savored  those fine chomps during my young adulthood a wee bit more.

4. I’m not allergic to peaches

God that would have been good to know when I was young and virile.

3. I’m a great smeller

It wasn’t until I was at the ripe old age of 57 that it was pointed out to me I have an uncannily robust sense of smell. I would have gone out of my way to sniff more things.

2. What Sandy wanted me to say when she asked me “Why are you in this relationship in the first place?”

This would have saved years of drinking and loneliness. And I wouldn’t have met Betty on the rebound either and avoided that whole Dr. Phil experience.

1. Anything that would have made me a lot of money

Stock tips, lottery numbers…I wish I had known which investments to make and exactly how to make them so that I could be exceptionally wealthy.
